Had my first cleaning in TEN years yesterday with Dr. Marshall and staff. I have been petrified of the dentist for many years because my last one just didn't know how to manage my fears. His staff (shoutout Nikki) took amazing care of me yesterday. I was pain-free after my visit and I was not expecting that after not having a cleaning in so long. There is still some work to do with my teeth since they have been neglected for sooo long but I am no longer in fear of getting work done thanks to Dr Marshall and the truly amazing Nikki!

Truly enjoyed going to the dentist again! Dr. Marshall and his team were friendly and yet so very professional! I received excellent service and as easy as it is to get nervous at the dentist, his easy going, calm manner and sense of humor was quite refreshing and relaxing! You know your Dentist has skills when you fall asleep during filling replacements! Seriously Dr J Randall Marshall is gifted in his field. Very gentle. Always adding the latest dental gadgets to make patient experience exceptionally great. He and his staff are superior in service and this has been my experience for 2 years!

I have found my forever dentist! I used to cringe at the thought of going tobthw dentist but now, I look forward to going. Dr Marshall did my 6 month smile and the process was soo easy. I thought it would hurt but not at all. He is very gentle and he explains everything every step of the way. I couldn't be happier!

After 10 years with another dentist, decided I wanted one closer to home. I not only found a dentist in the Steele Creek area, but an outstanding one!! Dr. Marshal and his staff are wonderful! Dr. Marshall took so much time with me and even did my first cleaning as a new patient himself-impressive. And the staff explained the many payment options since I'm retired and no longer have dental insurance. If you are looking for a new dentist, please consider a visit to River Vista Dentistry and Dr. Marshall - you will not be disappointed. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

I've been a patient here since they opened in - I think it was 2014/2015.This is the best dental office and dentist I've ever had. They're clean. They wear double masks. They only let you in after you fill out your covid form. Never had an issue with billing. They're up front about cost. The staff is friendly. They have TVs on the roof to keep you distracted. And Dr. Marshall has great chair side manner and does a great job.And they work hard to ensure dental work is pain free. I'm not sure I've ever felt dental pain from any of the procedures I have had.In my latest visit, the amalgam fillings in tooth 31 were finally giving out. There was a lot of filling and I was worried we'd be looking at a root canal.But Dr. Marshall replaced the amalgam with resin, avoided a root canal, and sculpted the tooth so well it almost looks like it was never filled. It's quality work.

First time visiting and it was Amazing, my boys talked about the visit for the rest of the day. We have found our new family dentist. Everything was Great, customer service, the visit and they even gave the boys goodie bags. It was such an great experience.

Dr. Marshall and the whole staff are amazing! He is the sweetest person and makes patients feel comfortable. I had to get 2 crowns put on and it was such a pleasant experience. I am always worried about going to the dentist but they made it so easy. There are shady dentist offices out there but this place is NOT one of them. Before work was done, the front office staff let me know what my dental insurance was going to cover and what would be my out of pocket expense. I never felt pressured into doing any unneeded procedure. The office is clean and they have TVs you can watch as you get work done. I loved coming here!!

I used to move around the country for my job, and I feel so grateful to have found River Vista Dentistry when I moved to Charlotte. Not only is Dr Marshall is the literal best human, and dentist, that I could have hoped to meet, the staff at River Vista are compassionate, caring, and kind. They listen to your needs, and help you to have the best dental care possible. Everything is explained, and no one tries to force you into procedures that you don't need. The team really cares about your needs there.I have been going to River Vista Dentistry for the past 3 years, and I will continue to go there for as long as I can. There have been times during those 3 years that I've lived in different cities, and have waited for a work trip to take me to Charlotte just so I could go see Dr Marshall and his team. Prior to finding River Vista, I've had a very mixed experience with dentists in other places. It is a reassuring feeling to find one here that I love.The people there are wonderful and I couldn't recommend them, or their practice, more.

Dr Marshall is so kind. He's a very down-to-earth guy then once you get to know him you're so comfortable around him. His staff is always so welcoming. Check out their smile plan it's way more affordable than insurance.

I’m new to Charlotte and needed to find a regular dental office. I found River Vista via google and was so pleased. Every single person at this office makes my day every time I come in. Obviously going to the dentist isn’t the highlight of anyone’s day but from the girls at the front desk to the hygienist to the dentist.. everyone is so cheerful and sweet and welcoming. I never write reviews but they deserve some props here so I couldn’t leave them without a great review!

Highly disappointed. After trying for some time to schedule an appointment, I was able to finally get an appointment for today that I scheduled a month ago. I showed up for my appointment 10 minutes early only to be told that because they could not verify my insurance my appointment was cancelled. The staff member then proceeds to tell me that if I could bring my insurance information in I could get a later appointment. She tells me while we verify your insurance you can run some errands, I think not. What upset me most is that when friends ask if I know I a good dentist in the area, I always refer them to River Vista. Needless to say after taking scheduled PTO, time I'm not able to get back was wasted.

Great first time experience. My hygienist was very good and knowledgeable. Usually the flossing is painful and rough for me, but she was considerate on sensitive areas without my saying.Dr. Marshall was very kind and informative. Listened to my concerns and had good feedback on treatment options.Overall a great experience and clean office.

I've been going to Dr. Marshall since we moved into the area - about two years now. When I tell you this is HANDS DOWN the BEST dentist I've ever met, I am not exaggerating. I've had a LOT of dentists and some really painful treatments. The assessment that Dr. Marshall's office takes asks about your past history. I answered the questions honestly about my past experience and every time I go now, they make sure to tailor my appointment around (or at least mention that they're thinking about) my concerns that I filled out on the form. I often have to have deep cleanings that require numbing shots. I'm convinced Dr. Marshall is also a magician. The first time I got the shot, I never even *saw* the needle. I was halfway through the numbing shot before I realized that there was a giant needle in my mouth and I only realized it then because he said "we're about halfway done, doing great". Not exaggerating, here. Since then, he's explained to me the techniques that he's using to reduce pain and anxiety about the shot and even still, I have to pay attention to realize what's happening. They do really good, thorough work and everyone is polite and they work quickly. The office is always clean, they have new Covid-19 safety procedures and a lovely waiting room. TV's on the ceiling and did I mention MASSAGE chairs while you get your treatment done?! You will not regret going to River Vista Dentistry, I'm confident that this is as good as it gets!

I usually hate going to the dentist but every time I go see Dr. Marshall and his staff they make me feel at home and comfortable. My surgery was a success I had no pain during or after the surgery. They made sure I was good to go and that everything was taken care of. For any dentistry work I highly recommend coming here!

Dr. Marshall and his staff are professional and excellent at their field. Since moving to Charlotte in 2019, I read the reviews on different sights regarding dentists and decided on him. Dr. Marshall has created a relaxing environment and thoroughly clean office for his patients. Dr. Marshall is the reason my children love going to the dentist. He is professional and friendly. I love the modern design of his office and the ceiling-mounted flatscreens. I was able to use my Orthodontia benefit at this office and get Invisalign Retainers. Scheduling my follow up appointments and the reminders/ confirmation have always been seamless. I won’t go anywhere else.

I first went to Dr. Marshall due to pain in my lower right side. During that visit, he also realized that I had inflamed gums. He performed a root canal and he and his hygienist put me on a plan for improved gum health. His entire staff is friendly and professional. His office put me on a payment plan so I could afford the highest quality care. To be honest, I have "dental anxiety", and Dr. Marshall has a way of putting me at ease. He clearly explained every procedure he needed to do (the root canal, plus the crown installation). He speaks in a calm voice, but he is not patronizing or insulting. I can feel his kindness in the way that he performs the procedures. The office is clean, modern and spotless. It doesn't hurt that I was able to watch TV while getting my treatments and cleanings!

Dr. Marshall and his staff are like family now. They have serviced my wife and myself on several occasions. Dr. Marshall was able to diagnose an issue my wife was having after our previous dentistry sent her on the "run around". They have a very accommodating schedule and they are always consistent and polite. They have a family office atmosphere. Im so glad we made the switch to them. Im proud to call them the Berewick neighborhood dentistry lol!

I have been to River Vista dentistry for multiple dental needs. I would give more than five stars if I could! My experience has been wonderful. Dr. Marshall is absolutely amazing as well as his staff. I do not have dental insurance they have been able to accommodate me with fair reasonable pricing. I'm so happy with my results and my smile. The staff at River Vista are very friendly. They make you feel like family. They explain everythingin detail and have been more than happy to answer any of my questions and have been sure to involve me in every aspect of my dental plan. I highly recommend giving them a call are stopping by to meet them in person.

I have been going to Dr. Marshall for a little over 3 years now. I've had regular checkups and a couple of fillings, and I am very pleased with his work. All of my visits have been very efficient with little to no wait time. If you inquire about a service (whitening/straightening/re-doing dental work/etc.) he will give you an estimate considering what your insurance will pay. I wanted to speak about the service itself first, because he and his staff are always so friendly and personable. You won't go wrong with going to River Vista!

tl;dr: River Vista is an incredibly welcoming, comfortable and modern dentist office with overwhelmingly friendly and knowledgeable staff.Up until a couple months ago, I'd gone to the same dentist my entire life. He's a great guy, and fine at what he does, but now--in my mid thirties--he proclaimed it was time for a visit to an endodontist for a root canal.So, I made an appointment with one, and after which decided to try a new office to complete the procedure with a crown. After all, my old dentist didn't accept my dental insurance, and I was paying quite a bit out of pocket for familiarity sake.A coworker had recommended River Vista. He merely mentioned he liked the place alright, Dr. Marshall was friendly and good at what he did. Etc. Truthfully, I feel like he downplayed it quite a bit. Dr. Marshall isn't just good, he's amazing, as is the rest of his staff.The office is super clean and modern--from the most comfortable waiting room I've ever sat in (for mere moments,) to the televisions mounted to the ceilings and massage dentist chairs (yes, you're reading right,) to the latest in dental tech. It's all here! And did I mention how friendly the staff is? I will again--because I'm genuinely bowled over by how kind and welcoming everyone has been.I hope this serves as an apology to my old dentist--as I plan to continue coming to River Vista as long as they'll have me. If you're looking for an excellent dentist in the Charlotte area, I suggest you do the same! They'll make sure your smile looks immaculate while giving you a reason to wear it all at the same time.Thanks for everything River Vista!

Since no one enjoys going to the dentist, you get use to seeing only complaints and not positive reviews.I will say, this office made me feel comfortable each step of the way although I was going for a root canal and had major concerns with the procedure after a nearly 18-month horror story at another practice (Friendly Dental - Whitehall).I really appreciate the confidence of Dr. Marshall and his staff. They were also knowledgeable and gave me information proactively rather than waiting for me to ask the questions - if they came to mind at that time. Also, during the procedure Dr. Marshall provided a play-by-play update and even showed me what he was doing (when possible) and what it meant/why it was necessary.They provided very details disclosures on an iPad for me to review and sign, so I fully understood the procedure, the goals and potential risk.I feel that the introduction of technology makes the experience much more interactive and engaging. There are TV's mounted on the ceilings (not walls), massage chairs and much more.I felt like more than a chart file and I felt that I built a rapport with Dr. Marshall which completely exceeds expectations I had.Dr. Marshall also stayed later to accommodate my root canal since he was able to confirm it was needed. He understood my lack of flexibility due to work and the pain that I started to encounter due to the lack of treatment for so long.The practice's prices are a little higher but with a 4.9 rating (that I can attest to) you really get what you pay for. I will return...
